Lyrics. Words. Thoughts.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at Ben's Mom's house! Jack was still in the NICU so he couldn't be there, but that means his first holiday at home is Christmas!!!!

Winter Wonderland!

Christmas Tea!

Over Thanksgiving break, my mom and I went to a Christmas Tea in Ohio! My dad is a part of a historical society there and they hosted a tea in a beautiful, old house! It was a great place to try out different shots on my new camera and it got me even more excited for London! We had Twinnings tea, scones, tea sandwiches, and holiday cookies! Dad and I even did some photos shoots (pictures to come)!

BETTER CAMERA, BETTER BLOG!

On Black Friday (after I bought a Cannon camera, a lot of headache, followed by a returned Cannon, and a trip to Best Buy), I bought a Nikon DSLR camera!! I had been debating this purchase for a while and thought that if I were going to do it, Black Friday was the day. It is a Nikon D3100. I got the extra long lens and a 32 GB card too! It was quite a large purchase, but I truly believe it will enhance my London experience! Plus...it means better photos for my blog!!!

Since I got it, I have been documenting almost every moment of my life! My mom is getting annoyed now but she will love it when I take this many pictures of London!!

Here are some of my best shots on the manuel setting so far :)

p.s. I know I still have tons and tons to learn but, WOW, what a difference from a regular point and shoot or my iPhone!! This summer Annie and I are hoping to take a few classes to learn how to use our cameras better :)

Last week of classes!

This weekend between studying for finals and watching Doctor Who, I am updating this thing!! There's so much you don't know! My nephew was born, I bought a Nikon camera, and I got a new suitcase for London! Plus there are many outfits and outings to tell you about!

I had been feeling really terrible about Sofie until today. I don't know if it is because I am at school so I wouldn't be seeing her anyways or I somehow inside  know it was the right thing to do and that is helping me move on...I have a tendency to go up and down when I am sad so this happiness may be quite temporary but I am going to just go with it rather than worrying about when I am going to feel bad again.

P.s. For those of you who aren't my Facebook friends, here's a sneaky peak of Jack :)
