The Dying Town (AKA the day Hope ripped her pants)!

Another trip with my program was to the Dying Town in Tuscany. The town is only home to about five people year round and a couple hundred during the summer.

It was Sophia's birthday :)

Haha, I am wearing Sophia's coat because almost as soon as we got off the bus I realized that there was hole in my brand-new pants! Almost the entire crotch was open and we were hours away from Rome, so I just had to suffer through it all day...

Spending the day with Mom :)

One of the things I missed most about studying abroad was running errands with my mom. As I have said before I don't particularly love summer, but I do love spending time with mom! The other day we went to lunch at East Coast Sandwiches and then had to go to a couple of stores. It was great! We got so much done and also got to spend the day together!

After our great morning and afternoon, I had to go to work :( But I finally got to choose a "Hope's Pick"! I more proud and excited about it than I should be! I chose "Warm Bodies"...everyone should go rent/buy it!

Beach Day :)

This was one of the funniest days of the entire semester! So, Jan and I decided we were going to go to the beach one Saturday. We figured out that we had to walk to the subway, take the subway to the bus, and take the bus to Fregenae (the beach). Surprisingly, we woke up on time and made it to the subway station as planned. This is where the trouble started…we didn't know which exit to use once we got off the subway. Eventually we figured it out and walked to the bus stop. We had to find a worker and ask which stop it was then we waited and waited until a bus finally showed up. We didn't want to get bad seats so we shoved onto the bus before anyone else could. After only eight of the 30 people waiting got on the bus, it drove away. That's when we realized it was the wrong one. We had to ask to get off at the next stop and then sprint back. When the real bus actually came we realized we didn't have tickets so I had to run across the the street and buy them…Thankfully, once we got to the beach it was a fantastic time! We got to lay on a private beach (don't ask us how) and then eat lunch in another private resort :) Getting back to Rome was another confusing and hilarious story haha!

A day with the Perri's!

Tony, my cousin, always remembered the names of my friends, roommates, and classmates and asked about them every time he talked me, so when I told him Travis was able to spend the day with us (but Janelle was busy…loser) he was so excited! He picked us up from the train station and then we spent the day around his town and the town of Bracciano.
