Chinese New Year!

I don't want to be negative but I am just going to get that out of the way first and then move on to the good!

I thought this was going to be cooler than it was...the parade was about 15 minutes or less and we got there early because we thought it was going to be huge. Not only that but there was no confetti. Not sure why I thought there was going to be but I did.

Now to the good! The food was amazing!! I ate wayyy too much and did not even regret it! I got noodles and sweet & sour chicken first, then a sweet bun pastry, followed by a meat bun (a warm pastry with meat in the middle)...that doesn't sound like that much until you realize I was only there for about 2 hours.

The most amazing part of the day was the flying dragon performance in Trafalgar Square. We should have gotten there earlier, but even just watching it on the jumbo screen was unbelievable! I still don't completely understand what they were doing but I think it was two men on stilts running and jumping on high pegs on the ground....mhmmm that sounds really lame but it was, just wow! I couldn't help but think about where they have to practice their routine because it took up most of Trafalgar Square...any thoughts?

Overall, it was a good morning but a bit of a let down. I can't wait to go back to Chinatown one day for lunch though!
